  • Is it Dimmable? Yes, it can be adjusted from 50% to 100%
  • Does it work with 110v or 240v? Yes, it works for both but you would need a cord for 240v
  • Do I need to switch it to 240v? No, it will automatically switch once plugged in
  • Is there a setting for HPS or MH Bulbs? No, it will automatically switch once the bulb is connected
  • How long is the warranty? 2 Years
  • What is the power consumption?

  • My ballast stopped working, what can I do?
    1. First check the fuse located on the back under the plug to see if the fuse needs to be replaced. A spare one is provided, if you need to purchase one you can search for a T15A Slow-Blow Ceramic fuse, using a powerstrip with the ballast can help to avoid this.
    2. Check to see if any other bulbs work with the ballast.
    3. When switching it on listen for the sound of a fan turning on or a low hum, if it does and the lights still aren’t being powered please contact us with the information in step 4.
    4. If you have checked all of these things and there is still no power please contact us with your purchase information (Order number, name, e-mail and purchase date) so we can start a replacement if you are within the 2 year warranty.
  • Do you have an extension cord from the ballast to the fixture? Yes, it could be found here.
  • How do you place the ballast? It could be hung or secured in any orientation that works best for your setup.
  • Does the ballast have rf protection? The ballast is certified by the FCC that the electromagnetic interference from the device is under the limits approved by the FCC.
  • What does the dimmer do? It lowers the output power to the bulb
  • Can I use a lower watt bulb and dim it, example a 600w bulb on a 1000w ballast turned down? No, when the ballast is powered on it will start at the max wattage and come down, in this example it would blow the 600w bulb.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Will this work for 110v or 240v? Yes, it will work for both but we only provide a 240v cord.
  • What is the difference between the double ended and single ended ballasts? More light output, better color accuracy, no hot spots and greater coverage area
  • Does it work with Double Ended bulbs that are 100-120hz? Yes, the input for the ballast is 50-60hz but the output is 100hz-120hz
  • How many ballasts can be controlled with iPower Double Ended Ballast Master Controller (GLBLSTCONTROL)? 80
  • My ballast stopped working, what can I do?
  1. Check to see if any other bulbs work with the ballast.
  2. When switching it on listen for the sound of a fan turning on or a low hum, if it does and the lights still aren’t being powered please contact us with the information in step 4.

  • How far do I keep the light from the plants? Optimal height is 15”-30” above the canopy.
  • How is the light mounted? You connect 4 steel wire to each corner of the light that connects to a central carabiner to attach to a hook or other mounting accessories.
  • Is it full spectrum? Yes

  • The MH bulb has a yellow tint to it, is that normal? Yes, the yellow tint inside the bulb is unvaporized gas and will go away with use
  • My bulb arrived broken, what do I do? Please contact us with your order information
  • What kind of threading is the bulb? It has E39 threading
  • The bulb doesn’t seem bright when it is powered on. Please allow 3-5 minutes for the bulb to reach its full brightness and wait at least 5 minutes before turning it back on once you have powered it off.
  • What is the Kelvin temperatures of the bulbs? MH is 6,000K and HPS is 2,100K
  • What is the warranty for the bulbs? 1 year
  • How far should the plants be from the bulb?

  • How does the hood connect to the ballast? The ballast has a cable that connects to a male prong on the fixture
  • What is the best way to deal with heat from the bulbs? Nearly all of our hoods have a cool tube or glass cover with a ducting outlet to connect an exhaust fan.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • What size bulbs do the t5 comes in? 2 and 4 foot
  • Can they be used in other fixtures? No, the iPower lights are designed to be used in iPower fixtures

  • Can it be used in humid conditions? No, you would want to use our inline fan which has an insulated motor

  • What is the carbon IAV grade? 1050+
  • Can you replace the carbon in the filter? No, refilling it is not recommended. Opening the filter will void the warranty
  • How long is the warranty? 1 year
  • How often should I change the filter? Filters can typically be replaced every 5-6 month depending on use.
  • Does it come with a prefilter? Yes, it includes a prefilter
  • Can I clean the prefilter? Yes

  • How do I set my mechanical timer?
    1. Set the current time: Rotate the dial clockwise until the arrow points to current time (Black is AM, White is PM)
    2. Activate the timer: Slide the switch on the side to “Timer” to schedule the timer or “ON” for immediate use.
    3. Setting the ON/OFF times: Each pin that is on the outside of the dial represents 15 minutes, to have it stay on you must press down all the pins in between the two times. (e.g. You want a light to go on from 6am to 10pm, you will press down all the pins starting from the 6 on the black strip, going counter clock wise to the 10 on the white strip.)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • How do I set my Digital 7 Day Timer?
    1. Reset the timer: Press in the small button located to the right of the “On/Auto/Off” switch with a pin or small object to reset the timer.
    2. Setting the current time:
      1. Hold “CLOCK” and Press “WEEK” until the current day shows on top of the LCD screen
      2. Hold “CLOCK” and Press “HOUR” until the current hour shows on the screen, you will notice an AM or PM in top left
      3. Hold “CLOCK” and Press “MIN” until the current minute shows on the screen.
    3. Setting the timer for every day of the week:
      1. Press “PROG” and the LCD will display 1
      2. Press “WEEK” until every day of the week shows up (If you keep pressing this, it will show you different days if you’d like different schedules)
      3. Press “HOUR” until the desired time displays on the LCD screen. Check the top left of the screen for AM or PM time
      4. Press “MIN” until the desired minute shows on the screen.
      5. Press “PROG” and LCD will display “1 Off”
      6. Repeat steps B through D to set the time the appliance will shut off.
      7. After setting the minutes, Press “CLOCK” to exit programming.
      8. Press “ON/OFF/AUTO” to set it Auto to turn the timer on and plug it into the wall socket.
      9. If it is during the time when the appliance is supposed to be running, while plugged in to the socket, switch it to ON and then back to Auto using the “ON/OFF/AUTO” button.
      10. Check at scheduled off time to make sure it was programmed correctly
  • My timer isn’t working, what can I do? Please try resetting the timer and reprogramming it.
  • I reprogrammed it and it still isn’t working, what can I do? Please contact us here

  • What blade should I use for what kind of media? The straight blade is used for wetter media and the serrated for dryer media.
  • Where can I buy replacement blades? You can purchase them here: 16" and 19"
  • What is the best way to use it? Crank the handle at a medium pace, keeping an eye on the media to the desired trim level
  • Which way is the straight blade supposed to be facing? The flat side of the blade should be facing up
  • What sizes does the trimmer come in? 16” and 19” bowls

  • What is the heat range of the mat?
  • Can I control the temperature of the mat? Yes, we do offer a thermostat you can find here

  • How do I change the temperature from Celsius to Fahrenheit? Press and hold the Up Arrow for 5 seconds until the temperature changes.
  • What is the hottest temperature the controller will allow? 108°F (42°C)
  • Can the probe be placed in liquid? No, it cannot.
